I bought a new HP dv7t laptop a couple of months back.
I'm getting this loud static noise from my speakers when i chat online (either audio or video chat). This noise has always been there.

1.When i perform a recording using the inbuilt sound recorder, there is no static noise (its clean).
    2. Tried different settings on the microphone software provided (IDT Audio control panel) but doesn't help.

    3. Tried talking to different people online and verified that the sound is at my end and not coming from their end.

Not sure if this is a software problem, electrical noise coupling or feedback problem.....any ideas appreciated..
