I have a Zx5000 with a Pentium 4 and 1.5gb of ram and my laptop only boots only at certain times and the power indicators light up, nothing shows on the screen

If i leave if off for like 2 hours and try to turn it on i have to try it like 5 times but if i just hit the power button once and leave it alone, the next time it will boot

If i have been using the laptop for more than 10 minutes and i turn it off and turn it on again, it will turn on every single time

if i put on standby and go somewhere, when i come back i have to turn it off because it does the same thing

so im thinking that the problem could be that the thermal paste on the laptop could be gone basically and it has to heat up

what do you guys think could be the problem

could their be a cord loose or something
