    strange ticking noise coming from 8710p 8-cell ext battery

    All of a sudden my ext 8-cell ext battery started ticking, very low and sounded like a watch ticking once every 2 seconds, tripped me out, I thought it was my hdd. I flipped it over and the sound was coming from the side of the battery where the fan is and the fan holes on the battery. I took it off and put it back on and it starting ticking again. I took it back off and put it back on again and didn't lock the latch and waited a sec then locked the latch and no more ticking. ?????***. Has this ever happened to anyone else? The battery had a full charge and I've had this battery since about march and never any problems. Is my battery on it's last legs or even worse gonna blow up like one of them sony batterie's? Anyone, anyone?
