    Hi All,

I got my HP dv6000t last month. Recently I started temp monitoring and I am seeing that my GPU and HDD temperature are alway around 48C-54C** while my CPU temp is around 33C-40C**. The fan starts in full throttle when GPU reaches 54C and it go in low mode when temp comes down to 48C.

**These temp. are recored when I am doing nothing special but browsing intenet.

Is having HDD and GPU temp. around 48-54C Normal?
    Please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Kilo

Thats pretty common my temps are around the same. Keep in mind that it will run hotter in warmer climates and in the summer time.

I am actually surprised to see such low temps on your dv6000.
I have dv6000z, and when doing nothing special but browsing the net and so on, the temps are:

CPU is between 46-54 C. When it reaches 54 C, the fan kicks in.
GPU(Nvidia Go 6150) is between 69-73 C. The funny thing is that, even when playing games, it doesn't go higher than that. I used to play Need For Speed: Most Wanted for hours, but every time i either minimized the game or exited the game and checked my GPU temp right way, it was always between those specified parameters, never higher.

Before i bought a cooling pad for my laptop, my HDD temp used to be between 48-53 C, depending on the temperature of the room.
With the cooling pad it's now between 39-44 C.

It will also depend on which version of Speed fan you are using. Version 4.32 reports temps which are too low. You can verify this by checking your temps after your laptop has been off over night IMMEDIATLY after booting. You'll find they are below room temperature which obviously is not possible.
