I'm just wondering, because they dont really specify on the HP website.

So since the dv5z can also possibly carry an older Turion, the Ultra ones all automatically come in the 780 platform, which means if you get an Ultra you get the HD3200, correct? So if you were to choose an HD3450 with an ultra, you would automatically get the hybrid crossfire support? So that your performance with a HD3450 would be increased because it could work with the HD3200.

Also, it says no TV tuner when you configure, and gives no option. But if you watch the dv5z demo video, they specifically state that there is an integrated TV tuner, does anyone know if it actually has a tuner or not?

HP isn't the only company that makes TV tuners, you can purchase any Express Slot TV Tuner and use it on the laptop.

Or better yet a USB tuner that doesn't dump heat into the chassis.

I'm pretty sure that Hybrid Crossfire will work regardless of which Turion CPU you select but I'd get the Turion Ultra anyhow.

I "chatted" with an hp rep about the tv tuner in the dv5z and she shecked with her books and said that it is a mistake on the website and it is not able to be configured in the dv5z. I asked her about the upper end models and she said that they are in the dv7, so thats good.

If the dv5z has a Express Card slot I don't see how the TV Tuner wouldn't work. I've heard the HP people say some pretty dumb stuff, so I'm not going to believe this until I hear it from somebody who actually knows what they are talking about and has tested it. The TV Tuner working has nothing to do with the hardware on the laptop (except of course it has to be in Express Slot format, which all the HP ones they sell with the laptops are, or a third party one that could be USB as well), it has to do with the software since it is an external device, and therefore should work perfectly fine with the laptop.
