hey
iv got a dv6000z nd am pretty happy with it except
1. I my left speaker stopped working
2. it gets pretty hot sometimes and the fan keeps coming on
3. battery life is barely 2 hours
4. i want to get bluetooth installed in it
all dv6000z owners discuss your laptop here instead of opening a different thread for a singe problem

what program you using to check your temps? do you use rmclock?
did you get the wireless card that didnt come with bluetooth? i timed my battery life with everything i could turn off bluetooth and max battery turned on i got 2 hours and 15 minutes i was pretty suprized. and since your left speaker isnt working you got a warrenty on it? or you still in the 21 day grace period? -
For the heat problem download 18kfangui to monitor temp and control fans -
do you know where i can get that
-
A better & more accurate CPU temp monitoring utility is Core Temp. You can download it from here. The normal operating temperature range for the average Turion X2 should be 40C to around 70C.

i really havent seen any bad problems with my 6000z as of yet except for the poping from the speakers but i think i fixed it or atleast got it to stop somewhat, i was paranoid bout my temp there for awhile but then i found out that it wasnt running what i thought it was.
-
i guess upgrading to a 12 cell battery will help the battery life, keep it cooler nd thus reduce the time the fan runs
-
another thing iv noticed about the laptop is that it gets dirty reall fast.
-
yeah ive noticed that aswell im constintly wiping it down .
-
my god... what kind of problem is this? what do you mean fast? less than one hour? I don't have this problem!!!!! this is the weirest problem i ever heard!Dude cover your comp with some rag when you are not using it and don't eat or drink stuff when you are using the comp! -
