    hey
iv got a dv6000z nd am pretty happy with it except

    1. I my left speaker stopped working
    2. it gets pretty hot sometimes and the fan keeps coming on
    3. battery life is barely 2 hours
    4. i want to get bluetooth installed in it

all dv6000z owners discuss your laptop here instead of opening a different thread for a singe problem

A better & more accurate CPU temp monitoring utility is Core Temp. You can download it from here. The normal operating temperature range for the average Turion X2 should be 40C to around 70C.

Miner what is your usualy temp? It is around 40 when the comp just started. It then stay around 55-59. During stress test it went 67C highest never higher than that.

i really havent seen any bad problems with my 6000z as of yet except for the poping from the speakers but i think i fixed it or atleast got it to stop somewhat, i was paranoid bout my temp there for awhile but then i found out that it wasnt running what i thought it was.

i guess upgrading to a 12 cell battery will help the battery life, keep it cooler nd thus reduce the time the fan runs

ROFL, nice picture. Intel Sucks Inside. Even though I got a core 2 duo that is still pretty funny. But you do know the c2d is more powerful and energy efficent. No offense, but it tears through the AMD. Maybe not tears, but it is better.

The temps at idle & surfing the web usually stay around 38 - 45C. The fan truns on at 45 runs for less than a minute and brings down the temp to ~38C. The next time the fan turns on is about 3mins later. If I am stressing the processor more the fan turns on a bit more frequently. The max with dual prime running at stock voltages([email protected]) was 72C. Now that I have undervolted([email protected]) the max temp with dual prime running was 59C.
