This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i leave my notebook on over nite and turn the screen off before i go.today i moved the mouse and the screen came on i left the room and came back and the screen was like this.

    i tried to shut the notebook because that turns the screen off and open it again and it still remaind. but the external monitor was fine and i could see the wallpaper. anyway i had to reboot and it was okay. should i be concerned.

    No, unless it happens again. It could be video driver malfunction
