Anybody know of a software that can add a timer function to a built-in webcam on a dv6500?

maybe its not the webcam but the OS. Right click the program and go to compatibility then check run this XP SP2.

Can you get to your webcam in anything else besides QuickPlay? That would be the first thing to check. QuickPlay has some weird voodoo magic to connect to the webcam when all other apps somehow can't. Go figure. Anyway, make sure it works in other programs first.
