touchpad on dv5t GONE CRAZY!!! HEEELP!!! :(

i have an HP dv5t...just 6-7 mths old...it has vista 64bit...

since today i have been facing this crazy issue with my scroll-pad...the right-click button has just STOPPED WORKING...!! neither is the scrolling part working anymore!

and oh..one more thing..when i start the computer..and while it is in the loading mode (as in when the anti-virus is loading itself and everything) the LEFT-CLICK button acts like a right-click button and the right-click button is just DEAD...and the moment all the start-up programs are all loaded and stuff...the left click is back to normal...but the right-click button is still DEAD..NOTHING...and...the scroll part on the mousepad isn't doing anything either...

i went on the moodpad and the pressure graph..which show normal activity...and i don't think there is anything wrong with the hardware (i just use the mouse for normal web surfing..no gaming or anything..) b/c these things started happening all of a sudden...i have rebooted 2-3 times but NOTHING happens...

i even tried "system restore"...but nothing changed with the mousepad...

in the device properties...it is written that "This device is working properly"

but it IS NOOOOT...PLEEEEASE...i am DESPERATE for help here...i really have no idea what to do...i am a rookie with computers...would really appreciate any tips you guys have...and oh..i even updated the driver...still no change!!

i dont know what the problem is but since its still in warranty call up HP support and tell them!!
