I bought a dv4000 from Costco recently. Everything seems good except for the touchpad. Everytime after using the touchpad for some time, mouse pointer does not respond to finger movement correctly onthe touch pad. You could see it jumping as well. One thing I noticed is that dv4000 touchpad is silver coated and little smoother than the one you get on dv1000. I am not sure if tip of my finger has become little sweaty and the touchpad has issues with it. I dont really feel any moisture on my finger or anything, but I am not sure if the touchpad is too sensitive for the kind of moisture I can't even feel. That's my wild guess.

Anybody has seen that kind issues with it? I hope it's just not my model.

Also has anybody tried the bluetooth features of dv4000? If so any comments.

    thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. No I did not. It happens only after I use it for sometime. After powering up it's pretty responsive. If there was any issue with sensitivity shouldn't it behave like that all the time?

Have you resolved the problem with the touchpad? I am having the exact same problem with the touchpad on the HP dv4000. After the computer has been on awhile, the touchpad isn't very responsive to my finger. Would you mind telling me how you solved that issue?

By "bluetooth," I assume you are referring to the remote control. I used mine a few days ago for a big presentation, and it worked great. I was probably standing 15 feet away from my computer, and I was still able to flip from slide to slide. You just have to make sure the sensor on the front of the computer is not blocked.
