This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have only just bought a HP pavilion laptop, and am learning my way around it.
    When I have typed spelling errors I automatically go to touch the screen to get a list of possible corrections, but the action of touching the screen brings up an on screen keyboard. I have to click twice to get rid of that and then access a "more" tab on the screen to get some spelling options.

    This is not a very quick route, and I was wondering is there a way to adjust the settings so that the keyboard does not appear on screen and I can use the functions that a mouse would give me without these little delays? I would like to be able to access spelling options, AND just drop in the cursor using my finger without getting the keyboard first
