    she wants something cheap, but with a nice screen. she doesn't play games, this is mainly for watching movies and TV shows. i'm not sure which model to look at

    That's hard because it depends what your definition of cheap, a nice screen, etc mean. But just about anything can watch movies and TV shows, including my old Compaq from 2003. But, two weeks ago I bought my wife a g6-1b60us which was on sale at Staples for $325 ar. Keep an eye on the sales on one of the websites (I prefer fatwallet), and when you find one at your price point, go for it.

    Honestly any of the hp models with the 1080p screen are great. Its one of the best screens on the market. If you to with a 1600 screen you just need to read reviews and see whos the best. Honestly I dont care for the 1600 hp.
