    Hi,

Plans have had to change unfortunately...my question is will the tx1100 take 4GB ram like the DV2500?

Also, does this one have the touch screen?

Yes, it should. There should be a BIOS update which added support for memory upto 4GB. So as long as you have BIOS ver F12 or above you shouldnt have any issues.

    Yes...

Thanks. Would it likely be shipped with that update or would it have to be manually done? It's annoying how they still advertise it as 2gb on the website.

I'm sure the touchscreen question seemed a little idiotic, I think I'm just confused between the 2 screen versions. I was thinking there was one version with the wacom style stylus and another that you can use your finger with but is it there is one version without the touchscreen at all?

The BIOS update was released back in June, so currently available models should include the latest BIOS. As for as the screen I believe there are only 2 options - touch screen and no touchscreen. The stylus is not an active digitiser(not Wacom enabled) and is just a plastic input device, so you can use your hand to move the cursor around the screen, the only slight drawback of this design is it would not be as accurate as a digitiser and you will have to apply pressure for the input to be recognised.

I would suggest checking out the discussions on our sister Tablet PC site. You will find a lot more discussions about the pros/cons on the tx1000 there...
