    will my uk hp laptop work with australian wifi and wireless routers etc. and if i were to buy a wireless router here in the uk would it work in australia.

    will ijust need a power converter for the plug in bit?

    WiFi "B" and "G" are worldwide standards and I don't see why it would not work. FYI. I bought a G wireless router in Singapore and it works fine with my HP wireless G laptop in NZ.

    wifi are based on IEEE standards. i should work international.

    Voltages/Hz are the same. Power plugs are different, so all you need is the plug adapter, make sure you can get the right one. "WiFi" is an international standard as already stated.
