I just did a fresh install of dv2000t using winxp.
But in the device manager, there are some device drivers not installed and I don't know what they are:

    PCI bus 8 device 9 function 1
    PCI bus 0 device 27 function 0

    USB 2.0 camera

    unknow device

What are they? Which folder from swsetup shall I choose?

The two PCI devices I don't know.

The USB Camera is the webcam.

I believe in the SWsetup there's a folder labeled 'HP Webcam' or something of that sorts.

Yes, I got the webcam driver and it is now OK.

What I noticed is that I don't have sound. I tried to install swsetup\audio but it says device not found.

Perhaps the two devices are modem and audio, I guess.

One more question: what do I need to install to enable the quickplay screen volume bar? (I have deleted the quickplay partition)

    Hmm, that's odd.

Did you try the driver's from HP's site?

One more question: what do I need to install to enable the quickplay screen volume bar? (I have deleted the quickplay partition)

    I believe so, yes.

thank for all the replies above. really saved me from a lot of headaches.

    sorry to repeat this question:

what do I need to install to enable the quickplay screen volume bar? I mean the green bar. All I need the green volume bar without other quickplay functions.

The one that says its from "Ricoh Co Ltd" is the built in card reader. The other one is from intel so I would bet its your SATA controller. If you disabled the native SATA option in your BIOS so you could install windows, you will need to re-install the sata drivers from the SwSetup folder before you can enable native SATA again. It might also be the modem...
