    unknown device in Vista...

    I got everything working except I have this "unknown device" on my dv6000z I cannot figure out what it is to load the driver... anyone else run into this? I am aware that HP will be releasing Vista Drivers mid to late January.

    Anyone know what devices have to be loaded that Vista doesnt do already? I did the 5 in 1 driver for XP that worked for Vista... I didnt do any quick launch button installation.. could that have been it? I did the coprocessor driver for nvidia. I cant figure out which one it is.

    It's very likely the quick launch buttons. That's what people usually miss when doing clean WinXP installs.

    Yeah most likely the Quicklaunch buttons software/drivers. You can use the Win XP version of the Quicklaunch software and it should wrk without any issues in Vista.

    Thanks for the info... im gonna give it a try.. gotta do a fresh install on the new HD and will see what happens.
