hey i was thinking why doesn't hp make a laptop that has a nvidia geforce 8600m gt, they would get more sales to gamers. everyone likes preformance and looks, and hp has the nicest looks beside apple, who knows how to get to hp to suggest it??? if you think its a good idea reply.

They do make a laptop with an 8600 card: The Pavilion dv9500 series. I'm not sure if it's a GS or a GT, though.

Also, the HP Compaq 8510w uses the nVidia Quadro FX 570M, which is essentially a GeForce 8600M-GT thinly disguised as a workstation GPU.

We've already have had 20 threads on this. HP is leading the laptop market, as great as your idea is, HP is doing fine without it. It is not possible, engineering wise, to put a 8600m GT in their Pavilions. I wish that all laptops came with a 8800 GTX, but that's just not happening.

HP isn't for gamers, its more for the everyday user. I love the design and the laptop, but it doesn't have the performance that people like me need.

I almost went with the Sage NP9261, but I decided to build a desktop for half the price. I figured I'd rather have a amazing desktop and use my work laptop for on the go, even if it can't play games too well.

The only true gaming HP laptops currently available are the 8510p/w and the 8710p/w.
