ok, i know that typically this graphics card cant simply be upgraded, however can the motherboard be replaced with another motherboard w/ an upgraded graphics card?

if so, where would i find the parts and how could i have them installed?

No, you cannot replace the motherboard since there is not standard as in desktops. Manufacturers customize the MB with different connectors, size.... So you can replace the MB with the same type of MB from HP, but any other MB most probably will not work.
