    is it possible to upgrade the video card on the pavilion dv6 3236nr? just want to know before i buy one.

    Generally, laptop video cards are soldered to the main board and not upgradable. There are exceptions, but I very much doubt the dv6 is upgradable.

    its not, AFIK the only HP laptops with MXM style GPU cards are the Elitebooks. I have never seen a consumer model with a GPU upgrade path including the DV6. ( download and look at the service manual )

    It also have no support for external graphic cards since the 3000 series.
