    i'm looking to upgrade my memory from 2gb to 4 gb (planning on going to 64bit later). I was wondering if I could install the faster DDR2 800 RAM in my dv6500t. Would the increased speed work with the board?

    No it will just downclock to 667mhz cause thats the fastest your chipset can support
