I'm looking for upgrade parts for my dv6000t, which is HDD, RAM, and if possible, CPU.
I'm still wondering which branches should I choose.

For RAM, I'm considering this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145157

    For HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822116021
    or
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136072

HP sells these parts with also a double or triple prices, and I don't know what they are selling.

CPU upgrade is not of important to me, but an HP consultant told me that I have to upgrade the motherboard also. (just curious in this part, I have no reason to upgrade the processor)

And lastly, will the All In One DVDs work after the upgrade?

The RAM and hard drive look good, but, if you want a performance increase, I'd suggest a 7200k drive.

As for the processor, no, you don't have to upgrade the mobo. Since you already have a Merom chip, you wouldn't even need to update the BIOS.

FYI, you can only have 2GB of ram so you will have to take out the other stick if you want to use both of the crosair ram and i dont think you have to upgrade the motherboard if your upgrade is a merom processor(C2d T7600 or lower) but i dont know for sure.

You can use a faster Core 2 Duo processor in your notebook without a BIOS change and with your motherboard, however I've taken one of these apart and DO NOT recommend it for people that are inexperienced. It's not worth the cost and it's not worth the hassle.

A 5400RPM drive is fine and you won't really notice that much of a difference with a 7200RPM drive but you will hear it.

2GB ram is a good choice though :)

    You mean I will hear the 5400 or 7200, I guess 7200.
I think that 7200 consumes more battery.

My friend said that Seagate is the best of the best, but on NewEgg it is not rated as barely good.

Lastly, do you guys confirm that this pair of RAM will work on my dv6000t?
