    upgrading dv7 to x9100

    hi there, do u guys recommand to upgrade the dv7 cpu to x9100, with the 9600M gt, will i then be able to play high requirements games such as gta4?? or should i just buy a new notebook and give up the dv7?? thx a lot =]

    What CPU do you have now?

    But for gaming the GPU is most important. A better GPU is in order.

    You can't change the GPU in the DV7.

    If you are really into gaming, you're best bet is a gaming notebook like a Sager/Clevo.

    Going from a P8600 to x9100 coupled with a 9600GT will not make a material difference in the majority of games.

    Asus G-series perhaps. Good gaming notebooks with great specs for the price.
