For the past few weeks my Compaq V2000 has been driving me nuts, the display would shut off depending on what angle it was open at (seemed to work fine until 60-70 degrees, then it was hit or miss).

So this morning I took the laptop apart, reseated all the cables etc and now it seems it works fine until 90 degrees. This is driving me nuts!!!

Any clues as to whats up? I'm thinking of buying a new LCD cable (well used, I don't see any new ones on ebay)...doesn't look like an inverter problem to me (but who knows).
