    v2000z battery life

    i just measured my laptops battery life (6 cell) and i got just under two hours.

    i wasn't running anything, wifi turned off, and screen at lowest brightness.

    other people seem to get around 2.5 - 3 hrs while surfing the web and watching videos so it seems kinda weird that i have such short battery life.

    Run MobileMeter to make sure power management is enabled. Your notebook should be idling at 800MHz and jumping to full speed as needed. Also check the battery wear level (Options | Battery Info tab) with MobileMeter, though there have been reports of that particular notebook's batteries reporting their info incorrectly. You should have 40000mWh of capacity IIRC. The 12-cell batteries have 88000mWh, 120% more than the 6 cell. (They used smaller cells on the 6 cell.)
