v2000z: Where the heck is MSMoney install?

I've had my compaq v2000z for about a month now, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm starting to lean towards doing a clean reinstall with XP Pro, though, so I was gathering up the programs and drivers that I wanted to hold onto.

I have already made the backup DVDs, and backed up the SWSetup folder. My problem is that for the life of me, I can't find the MS Money 2006 install file. I've tried reinstalling MS Works and the Office 2003 Trial, neither of them install Money when run. I've looked through every folder inside of SWSetup, as well as checked what the Appilcation and Driver Recovery option offered.

Does anyone know where the Money install file is located? I'd really like to be able to continue using it after I reformat.

It should be in the Swsetup folder under a separate folder called 'money'. Thats where the installation files were located in the V3000 series.
Also check under Program files. There were some installation files located there as well.

 

It definitely wasn't in SWSetup, and I don't see any Money install files in Program Files, just the already installed folder. Any other ideas?

 

Bumping for one last time. Anyone else have ideas?

I checked my v2000z, it's installed, but it's not in the SWSetup folder (and thus, non-accessible through app/driver recovery). The only way to get it back is to use the recovery partition and reset your drive back to factory stock, or if you were one of the lucky people to actually get CDs with your notebook, it should be in one of the paper sleeves.

 

MS Money came pre-installed on my v2000us - it wasn't setup during the setup process. So, it may be the HP/MS way of keeping the program tied to the computer.

You could contact HP support and say you accidentally deleted the MS Money program and need it back. Maybe they can walk you through it, if it's possible, or send you a CD with it.
