    Hi all,
My presario v3000z (AMD Turion X2) persistently getting crashing with bugcode usb_driver error when I used certain usb devices. So far the errors occur with bluetooth dongle ( I had tried 2 different vendor makes), my axim pda, my Nokia phone. With usb mouse (wired or wireless), flash drive, usb harddrive, so far no problem.

The problem do not occur immediately after I had inserted these devices. It will occurred after a period of time ranging from 1 minutes to about an hour. Usually about few minutes. It will occur irregardless whether i used the device or not after insertion. These devices had been working fine on my other notebook (thinkpad). Hence, I am eliminating the problem from the devices itself.

I have seen some USB devices not play nice with NVIDIA chipsets, though not crashing. The easiest workaround is to get a powered USB hub to plug those devices into. Obviously this won't work when you're away from wall power though. Short of that all I can think of is to look for updated chipset drivers on hp.com's download page for your notebook.
