OK so I turn my laptop on in the afternoon after using it a few minutes earlier and the screen is white. No lines, no distortion just white. I have tried shaking the laptop, twisting the screen slightly I've tried everything I could think of but taking the laptop apart and seeing if any connections are in place. I haven't done this simply because I'm not very technically educated on that side of laptops.

If I have to take it apart then I would appreciate if someone could give me a step by step guide of how to do it.

Before you take the machine apart, have you tried using an external monitor to see if it works?

If the external monitor works, then the internal display is shot. If it doesn't work, then it's probably a motherboard issue.
