    Hi, can somebody link me to a disassembly guide for the compaq v6000? I think I need to clean it out...

    That is pretty similar to pavilion dv6000 and dv9000 model series, I've opened a few and I have one advice.

    When you remove the heatsink/cooler assembly take it also apart and remove dust from the inside. It's easy to miss :)

    If they are similar, there are great dv6000 disassembly videos on youtube. Just search.

    all I want to do is blow dust out...preferably from the video area and the cpu do I have to disassemble the whole thing?
