    You can't, they are encrypted inside the WIM images.

    Maybe you should explain what you want to do. There are some files that you can access, like the hpcd.sys file, but any of the actual Vista files are locked up.

    It's right on the main drive. Make sure you have show hidden and system files enabled.

    Hi, I copied some of my files and transferred it to my hp_recovery (Drive D).. I formatted my comp using the recovery. I transferred some of my files to Drive D expecting that I could easily install them again after the format. Once Vista was finished, I checked the drive space and it was still 256 mb free space left.. BUT i don't see the files that I moved. Is there any way I could see the files??? It used up space, so it must be there right? :confused:
