I either going to get a dell or hp laptop for christmas or early next year.Right now I leaning towards an hp one.

If the hp dv9000Z or dv9000T gets an option for a better video card then the NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600, Then I'm definitely getting an hp.

So when do you think the dv9000s will get a option for a better video card?

Very unlikely. The best that can happen, they will switch to a newer generation card, like the new ATI mobility radeon series (x1650 or x1700, dont remember the nomenclature) or to the new nvidia series (possibly 8xxx).

Hp is not known to have very powerful GPU's in their systems.

Have you ever thought of the dell 9400 it has a better graphiccard than the dv9000 but isnt that pretty most probably itll end up havin a better graphic card and both the machies are almost in the same price range
