The keyboard seems wavy when looked from this angle and the light source above the keyboard (pic1). From all other angles it seems flat.
Is this some sort of visual effect ?

    mines pretty flat aswell....

If you press the left arrow key the keyboard should sink in a little

Does your keyboard look like pic 1 ( slightlty wavy) when viewed at that angle and only when the light source is above the keyboard.

Its not a big deal but i am just curious.

About the left arrow key yes it sinks the keyboard a bit.

I have exchanged 5 DV2500 because of wavy keyboard. New DV2500s are just awful...old ones are much better

As i said it appears slightly wavy but you have to examine it closely to notice any thing from the angle that i gave in pic 1. Overall it is flat & the keys are even.

Look around the corners of the keyboard... you'll notice there are tiny silver tabs (built into the case) which the keyboard snaps under. More than a few people have noticed that the keyboard from the factory is not installed correctly. If your keyboard shows significant flex near the arrow keys, it is not seated properly.

It's easy to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard. Just go here:

You don't need to return your laptop to fix this.
