hi all, this is my first thread here, so i hope i am writing into a good section...

yep, i ve tried that.... downloaded and installed that acer crystal eye driver as it is said in one of the threads at this forum.... than a restarted my pc but windows found my camera as video usb device not as HP pavillion web cam... i dont know how to check if it is chicony, when i tried some of the drivers that i downloaded and installed - it said chicony manufacturer in device manager!!but didnt work... also, strange thing is, when i right click on my web camer in device manager and want to update driver, i check the option "do not search for the device! etc. than i cant see a list of manufacturers because it always wants to install usb viedo device.... i unchecked the option to show compatible drivers but its the same... also when i pressed ADD a NEW HARDWARE in contorl panel it does the same!!! maybe i have installed a bad driver before
