    just wondering what you guys paid for this laptop.

    i paid $1350 but if a lot of you guys got it cheaper, i may return it until it goes on sale.

    and second of all, how much do you guys like it?

    i think it might be too big.

    i will be carrying it from home to my office. its hard to find bags for this monster.

    I doubt it'll go on sale again, not like it was when they first came out. They REALLY underestimated the demand for the dv8000z platform. For a while they even raised the price above what you paid.

    OTOH, if I'm wrong, most of the big box stores will credit you the price difference if they go on sale within, what, 30 days after purchase?

    There's another thread here talking about backpacks that'll fit the dv8000 series. I like my Spire Volt XL but it's much more expensive than most.
