anyone here who knows the DV2000T can tell me which brand/model the DV2000T series uses? because i was thinking of just getting the 40GB then order from newegg the Hitachi TravelStar 100GB 5400RPM HDD for 99.99 because i hear its very fast for a 5400rpm do you think its worth it to just get the bare miniumum hdd then buy a good brand name from like newegg?

As far as I know, they put Hitachi travelstar HDD. Attached picture is from the review of Compaq v3000 but I don't think HP put a different brand HDD in dv2000 series.

Although other brands cannot be ruled out...From what I have seen they most likely use either Hitachi, Seagate, Fujitsu or WD HDD's.
