    what is the big deal about switchable graphics?

    i read so many complains on here about this. what is the problem with the switchable graphics and why is it such a big problem? how will it affect your computer if you dont play games?

    If you don't play OpenGL games or use GPU-intensive professional applications which use OpenGL, then it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. In fact, even if you do play DirectX games, it should still work just fine. The problem is that HP does not advertise the incompatibility of OpenGL with the discreet GPU so people get really angry when they receive a laptop that doesn't do what the specs say it should.
