    So i have a question. I beleive i have the Pavillion DV9500, but than i was on some forums like here at NOTEBOOKREVIEW.COM and heard someone calling there notebook the 9500t, also checked around the web, but can not find anyone that will tell me what the difference is?

    So this is what i have and all, and if it sounds off let me know and i will doublecheck for you.

    Ok....

    DV9500
    Intel core 2 duo t7250 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz

    2 GIGS of memory
    32 bit
    17inch screen
    lightscribe dvd/cd-r burner.

    Also, have no idea if this is an HD notebook? lol.

    When it was being sent to me, the guy mentioned something about that, but never really went on about it.

    All comments are very much appreciated, and i will respond to as many as i can! thank you!

    The t in dv9500t is HP's designation for an intel based cpu in the computer, the dv9500z is the AMD version.

    As for HD, the standard screen resolution is 1440 x 900, which i believe, though may be mistaken, allows the viewer to see HD content at 720p, but NOT at 1080p.

    The Santa Rosa is the latest series of Intel CPU processors, with slightly higher clock speeds and increased l2 cache.

    Does that answer your questions?

    dv9500t == intel processor
    dv9500z == amd processor

    it is an HD notebook - the minimum resolution is 1440x900, whereas 720p HD is 1280x720. however, 1080p (1920x1080) is NOT supported. you can also have 1680x1050, which still is not 1080p, but is slightly higher than 1440x900.

    Also My i just wanted to say that when i did download the HD podcast, i wasnt really sure it was actually 720p or if it was just converted to standard. so thats why i was asking about that one. but again as for the santa rosa intel processor, how would i know? I saw something on the net where it said it was the design on the laptop by the mousepad. well i have a design on mine.. kinda looks like a flower sorta ha ha.

    As you can see I have not had any good answers until this point, so the santa rosa is my last. thank you!

    The T7250 processor that you mentioned is indeed an Intel C2D Processor based on Santa Rosa platform. Hope that makes you happy.
