I have dv8130, it works pretty good but the videocard is getting useless. It will play most games but call of duty 4. It will play it with a low framerate. the graphics chip is a ati 200m.I was wondering what motherboards will fit in the chassis that has the best videocard. I would perfer to keep the turion64 processor to keep cost down.

The only motherboard that might fit is one from a similar notebook (aka other dv8xxx series notebooks). But these are not desktops where any mobo/gpu combo can go in there. It is very very very limited and hard thing to do.

Heck, even similar models might have a small difference that will not allow for a swap, so you're in wayyyy over your head.

If you want better peformance out of your games, then you better get a new notebook. The money that you plan on using for a mobo swap is much better spent towards a new notebook.

Yes, I know some tards ask stupid questions. I should have clearified. I can replace a motherboard, which 8xxxx series has the best vid card. Perferably one that takes a turion64, but I would guess the duo core intel processors got the best vid cards.

if you wanted to you could buy a motherboard with a nvidia 7600 go 256mb on it off ebay but thats for intel. if you did do that youd need a new wireless card new sata hard drives intel CPU ddr2 memory heatsink and a/c adaptar basically you could buy a new dv8000 with a 7600 go and sell your old one lol
