    what is the normal temprature on the dv 6000 when idle?(Processor 1.83 core 2 duo),,any body has fan issues on his dv 6000 ,kick on and off every 3 to 4 minutes??

    DV 6183 ea

    1.83 core 2 duo
    1 GB Ram
    G force go 7400
    100GB HDD

    Running in low power mode if you can will help with the fan noise.

    Consider yourself lucky. Mine, 6000Z TL-52, idles hot/stays hot. Fan kicks in every 80s or so, at 4% CPU load and undervolted and(at least for the AMD version although someone has stated that it also applies to the T) will start up when temp hits 60c and stop when it drops to 50c. All in all though, I like it and if I had to do it all over again I'd probably not change a thing...maybe.

    Have you tried cleaning out the air vents. If dust gets clogged in there it causes the laptop to overheat and the fan to constantly turn on and off
