Dont waste your moeny on a 4GB chip. Get 2 x 2GB. Wait until the price drops. I know, not having 8 GB of RAM is a bummer - world domination will have to wait.

800mhz ram will be faster than 667mhz ram. And I was mistaken the Montevina platform in the DV5T supports 800mhz ram, I thought it was 667mhz and it would just down clock the 800mhz ram accordingly (although 667mhz ram should still work, but would be slower).

Anyways I wouldn't get one 4GB stick of ram -- they are expensive -- I would get 2 X 2GB at 800mhz, which are anywhere 60 to 90 bucks on Newegg.

It's wasting your money because 4GB is already almost more than enough for everybody. Now, if you want 8GB for the sole purpose of having it, you would just be spending too much money for it right now and should wait.

BTW selling 1 month used 2x2GB Pc6400 800 mhz OCZ ram. Check sig.
