    Like the tittle states:

    1. what video driver do you use?
    2. what video driver do you use? what is your wei score?
    3. what is the model of your hp notebook?

    The reason im starting this thread was to share our experiences with laptopvide2go drivers and how it behaves and responds to vista and different games and scenarios. This may help us find the perfect driver for our notebooks without having to try every single driver out there!

    I'll go first.

    Im currently using video driver 169.09 with the modded inf from laptopvideo2go
    My laptop is a hp dv9500 (specs in the signature) running nvidia 8600m GS

    Everything seems to be running smoothly since the install of this driver and there was some improvement in my wei score.

    Check the attached pic to look at my wei score.

    You guys should really download a program like 3DMark05 to compare scores and specs. In all reality the WEI is crap and only let you know how well Vista will run on your machine. I don't mean any offense, its just everyone talks about the WEI like it is the one all say all score to look at.

    i totally agree with you.. wei is not an accurate measurement at all for many things but that is why i stated "behaves and responds to vista". It but i guess it would be a good idea to add our 3d mark scores to our posts as well.

    What are your scores envision? what drivers are you running?

    HDX9000 (DRAGON)
    CPU X7900 CORE 2 EXTREME @ 2.8 GHz
    ATI 2600 XT DRIVER 8.403.0.0
    4 GB RAM
    OS = VISTA ULTIMATE 64BIT

    WEI 5.0

    2006 3DMARKS BASIC = 4304 @ 1280 X 1024

    I've been told that my WEI number shows Vista is running very good on my Dragon. But the 3d Marks really suck. Just enough to get by and watch HDDVD movies. But we don't want to play online games with this PC.

    I actually returned the DV9500t that I purchased because it wasn't powerful enough for me (I wasn't able to play the games I wanted, and I wanted to see the graphics at its best). I just love games and I love to see how technology has evolved in the field of games. I ended up building a awesome desktop and I'm waiting to save up to purchase another HP laptop just for entertainment and travel and not for gaming and performance. For the time being I have my work laptop to use if I need to travel, but I really like the HP line so I'm saving up for one.

    I mean if you want I'll post the scores of my desktop, but that wouldn't really fit into the HP Laptop section.

    My Computer -> Properties.

    But like the above two said, the WEI score is a piece of crap.

    1 Left click on start
    2 Enter the word performance in search
    3 Select and Left Click at the top performance info and tools.
    4 The WEI window will open with the score.

    or

    From Windows Welcome Center

    1 Click on Show more Details on the upper right side of the window.
    2 Then when the window opens click on the Windows Experiance Index link.

    Good Luck

    Well on my dv9644ca, the drivers that came with it were 101.xx and it gave me a gaming graphics score of 4.9. Then I updated to the newest one on the HP website and it brought it up to 5.1 and then recently I got 169.09 from laptopvideo2go the score went to 5.3. And my lowest subscore is 4.6 (which is the CPU and memory, hdd is 5.1)
