what's the difference between the screens on these things?

I would love a 17" screen, but from what i've read the display isn't as good as the 15's...

is the 15 going to be an all around better laptop than the 17?

The 17 will have a graphics card which can run laps around the 15's.

From what I have been able to gather the differences are as follows (COULD BE WRONG !).

-the 17 will have a base screen res of 1080p, and be called a radiance screen with an upgrade to a 120Hz 3d screen on the 3d model.

-the 15 will have a base screen res of 1366x768 with an upgrade option to a 1080p radiance panel, this will be the only panel on all the envy models to have an IPS display however, which typically sport better viewing angles and color, but we'll have to see the details later.

-The graphics are not nailed down for the 17 as far as I can tell, but I'd imagine they are going to be more powerful than the 15, and switchable since they are claiming up to 9+ hours of battery life in the 17.

-10 key only available on the 17"

-both models come with optional blu ray slot loading drive

I am kind of torn between the 15 and 17. I prefer the 15" size, but would miss the 10 key a bit, but then that ips panel might be really nice, but then the likely higher base graphics option in the 17 should be great too....

I am going to wait and see what the configuration options and pricing comes out to, leaning towards the 15 now as I don't intend to do any heavy graphics gaming on the notebook, but we'll see how the configs package out.
