Here is it, 4 points below 3100 -
I posted my results in my review
(3312)
driver updates might help, or running it in max performance on AC, I dunno? -
For some reason my laptop can't run either 3dmark06 or pcmark05.
-
You have to put -nosysteminfo after the exe in the target line of the shortcut or something...I think that's the right command anyway.

But seriously...most 8510p users under Vista that I've seen get 3200+, so I dunno -
Updated the bios, now I have to wait 15 mins for the freaking ~600 MB file. I'll post results after I, hopefully, run it.

so i guess i´m gonna post my results here now, since i still fu***** can´t believe this possible with this card.
my setup :
catalyst 7.11, resolution 1280x1024
core : 574mhz
ram : 690mhz ( forgot the actual timing, but 690 (-1 or 2 )
and you won´t believe it - my result was a superfantasticunbelievable 3886 points
check it here : http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...0&UID=12879850
so let´s see how far you push it with the new bios ........

How's the fan and heat with those settings?
-
the fan is ok, it even does slow down after 1 or 2 minutes, so i guess hp must have adressed the issue with the neverslowingdown-fan too.
the temps i couldn´t watch, since don´t have a monitoring tool for it. how do you watch the temps? -
My 3dmark06 was http://service.futuremark.com/orb/resultanalyzer.jsp?projectType=14&XLID=0&UID=12881019
I think these are the speeds for the card, they're under my GPU:
VGA Memory Clock: 598 MHz
VGA Core Clock: 506 MHz
This test was with XP Pro with all my active protection up at 1280x800 (my native res). Also of note is that I couldn't run 3dmark06 before the bios update, now I can without altering 3dmark06.
About the OP's actual question, 3dmark06 results can differ depending on your set-up. -
Nice stuff everyone. I'm going to do some tests shortly
-
yeah im in the same position as you james. almost identical score. im thinking of replacing it, maybe you should try if this aspect is important to you, i mean you did pay money for what you expected, but thn again dont always trust 3dmark07

between 3300 and 3380 on default clocks
just under 4100 at 641/684 or so. i've noticed that it's not 100% stable at those clocks in BF2, so I switched back to default speeds.. and noticed no discernable difference after 3 hours.
whats your 8510p 3dmark06
