I really want a HP laptop because I can get pretty godly upgrades on it and with a 30% coupon (hoping it comes out soon), it'll be around 904$ with tax and shipping included.

problem is, it only comes with the 128mb geforce 86 GS...

while on the other hand, DELL laptops, same size (15.4) have the 256mb 86 GS in it, WITH 7200rpm harddrives. even the 14 inch dell notebooks can fit those in it!!! 15.4 costs around 1100 while the 14 costs 1200. i aint made of money, so yeah..

i would LOVE to have those things in my future dv6500t

but when is it going to come out? what's with HP? the 17 inch HP can have all that, but. its 17 inches. HUGE.

Because this notebook isn't designed to handle that power consumption and heat...

Not only that, but the dv9500t doesn't even have the 8600m GT, it has the GS. You won't see a video card better than the 8600m GS in the Pavilion line until they bring out their new models, and who knows when that will be. If you want something from HP with a good video card you either have to go for the HDX, or one of their business line laptops.

Thats that main reason why I sold my dv600z and returned my DV9500t, I need a better video card than HP has to offer.

Take a look at the HP Compaq 8510w and 8510p.

I'm saving a little more money and I'm buying a Sager NP9261 (I give it another month unless I wait for the 8800). I decided I wanted a laptop that will do everything I want it to and more for at least 3 years. Specs are as follows:

Q6600 (Quad Core 2.4Ghz, but I might go with the 2.66Ghz)
    4GB RAM 800Mhz
    160GB Sata300 7200RPM
Dual 8700GT SLI (I might wait for the 8800 to come out first)
17inch WUXGA Glare Type Super Clear Ultra Bright Glossy Screen (1920x1200 Res) Screen
Painted either Orange or Dark Red.

Its close to double the price of the DV9500t, but I won't have to worry about performance for 3 years with this laptop. I wanted a desktop replacement and a gaming machine I could take with me anywhere because I travel a lot.
