Both of those links have Intel chipset drivers. For some reason, my dv5-1113us came with an AMD Turion 64. Any hints for that?

So far, I've tried loading SATA drivers from a dv5-1002, but that gives a "ahcpi.sys" corrupted error, and setup halts.... which is a step up from the BSOD encountered before slipstreaming the SATA drivers.

I'm going to burn another CD just in case it's a media issue, but - I'm still getting the error:

"The file ahcix64.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue.:

Then setup fails and I'm stuck again.

I really appreciate any feedback on this, as it has become a pressing issue.

dont load ahcix64 if you dont need it! that is the 64bit driver and if your XP CD is not 64 bit, your going to have problems. only load the drivers that dont have the 64 in them IF your copy of XP is 32bit.

Ooops - yes, that's right. I made the mistake once, and propogated it because I forgot to refresh the XP core directory.

However, after starting over, and slipstreaming only the 32 bit drivers, we're back to the BSOD again. This happens after all the drivers get loaded in text mode, and "Starting Windows Setup" appears in the status bar.

I've tried the "AMD PCI IDE Controller for Windows XP (32 Bit)" and the "AMD SATA Controller (IDE Mode) For Windows XP (32 Bit)" Individually, then together....and it BSODed both ways.

After adding in the atiide.inf file and the SM Bus driver, I have the same result.

Thanks again for checking my progress!

that is quite interesting considering i have the exact same model system you do and i didnt have any issues. what if you load all of the 32bit drivers that are in the south bridge driver pack? also, what BIOS version do you have loaded?

    BIOS Version is F.11.
    I still have a BSOD.
I repopulate the OS directory directly from the CD, then using nLite, I integrated atiide.inf, the two 32 bit PCI/SATA drivers, and the SM bus. Nothing else.

Just to cover all bases, I followed your link, and downloaded "9-2_xp32-64_sb_76121".

the ahci/sata and SMBus drivers should be all you need to get XP to install. where/when does the BSOD occur and is it on there long enough to get the error code?

    The stop error is 0x0000007B (0xf78d254, 0xC0000034, 0x0000000, 0x000000)

It shows up after all text mode files get copied, and "Starting Windows Setup" appears in the status bar.

ok, i may have forgot to mention the RAID driver pack too. i had made my slipstreamed XP CD a while back so i appologize if im not as fresh with my info as possible. try to load all of the 32bit drivers in the RAID driver pack too from the AMD/ATI download link i posted along with all of the other 32bit drivers from the south bridge driver pack and see what happens. i think now it should work. :)

YES YES YES - That was it! :D Add in also, that the combo barely fits on a CD, and I did get an error the first time around. When I burned the image to a DVD, we have success!

    Thank you!
