Hi, i lost my recovery cd, and my laptop stopped working for me. when I try to load vista, it gives me a stop error. HP wants to charge me £25 pounds (thats $50 for you yanks) for another set of cds. Anyone know where I can gett a free cd?

Relax hassan you won't get free CDs!! However you might get cheaper ones. Try looking for anybody around you. Or probably grab a Windows Anytime Upgrade Disc to clean install Vista on your system followed by downloading and installing drivers from the HP website.
