Isn't it specified when you customize the battery? Like 18% or so?

Yeah its on the website when you do a customised order, it was like 16 or 18% more capacity. Thats roughly about an extra 16-20mins tops on your battery life. 1% is usually 1minute for me on medium user activity

I get at least two hours with the High Capacity 8 Cell on my dv9500t. It is probably worth the extra few bucks.

I'd say to go with the better battery, that way you won't regret it. It's cheaper to purchase the battery when you are ordering the laptop, so if you can I recommend getting the spare when you order the laptop as well. You might as well be prepared for any trips where you are away from a power outlet.
