I am looking to change my keyboard and my laptop is hp envy 15 q004tx with silver keyboard part number 760743-001

i found the 15j "older model" black keyboard with part number 720244-001. the only visual difference is the color.

is there any other difference? the 15q keyboard has a massive flex in the left side. does the 15j has the same issue?

i find that 15j looks better. i don't know which is better int erms of backlit.

    any advice?

The 15J keyboard is better for backlight since its black instead of silver.

The Q and J models are mostly the same design and that flaw comes with the J models and its carried over the Q models, If you see the manual of both models they both have the gap around that area and thats why it flexes
