    I have amd64bit turion processor

I've tried gentoo and ubuntu. I seem to have a lot of trouble with both. I can't even get into the setup screen with the both bootcd's!

I've read on ubuntu forums ( www.ubuntuforums.org) that the v2000z runs Dapper Flight 5 well. Given, it's still in its beta stage, Dapper 6.04 should be released in April sometime (I can't remember the exact date). As far as Ubuntu Breezy, it seems to be hit or miss from what I've read. I just ordered my v2000z from Costco.com but will hopefully have ubuntu on it shortly after.

NOTE: Ubuntu Dapper Drake 6.04 will be released June 1st. It was pushed back for quality purposes.

Kubuntu Linux, Dapper 6.06, Alpha version 4 onwards runs just fine on my Presario V5000Z.

No problem with X.org and the ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, compared to Kubuntu Breezy 5.10, where one could not boot into Gnome or KDE desktops.

The only major problem is to get the onboard Broadcom 4318 wireless chip to actually work. I tried using the method based on bcm43xx-fwcutter for kernel versions 2.6.15 and above, but to no avail. I am going to try the ndiswrapper method outlined in the posting that meerkat linked to. And then report back.

How does Fedora 64 run on the v2000z? Im thinking of dual booting that and Windows XP home.
