I want to order a 1GB memory stick to upgrade dv2000t memory.

Does anyone have idea about which brand to buy?

Also what are the specifications to look for?

Second question: can 2GB stick be used in a single DIMM for dv2000t as well?

Yes, it is compatible. I would recommend buying memory from brands such as Kingston, Crucial, Corsair or OCZ.
