Im undecided on which I want to buy. I know I will be using the laptop to play games ( cs 1.6/css, Diablo3,Starcraft2,COD:4) along with watching movies and such, so the 9600gt is necessary. Im trying to keep price below a grand. Any input is appreciated.
* I am a student too, It didnt seem like the two discounts worked together though. Should I wait a week or so and see what new coupons there are?

11 views and no input?? come on guys...Hows the Integrated 4500 graphics?? Would it play the games mentioned?? How are the T6400/6600 and P7350 chips?? Capable of handling my needs??
4 gigs a lot faster instead of 3 for vista 64bit?? -
i will go for the last one if the website is actually trustworthy.
ebay will be my last option to buy laptop online.
basically, the only reason here to buy a dv5t is for the nvidia video card.
if you really not going to do some heavy graphic intense task, I wouldn't suggest dv5t. At least, this will not be the top option here.
and yes, Nvidia 9600m GT is a medium graphic card which allow you to play new games at medium setting.
although 64 bit vista support 4GB RAM, it is not necessary to have 4G RAM.
about the CPU, P series are way cooler and power efficient than T series.
BTW, just let you know the DV5T has been discontinued on US HP Online store. -
